What we compare
Chat Picker compares AI assistants head to head: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Grok today, more as pages are added. Each comparison uses one shared fact file so the same row means the same thing on every page.
Where the facts come from
Prices, plan features, context limits and API rates are read from the vendor’s own pricing and documentation pages. Each figure on a comparison page links to that page and shows the date it was read. The current set was read on 1 Oct 2026.
What “Not verified” means
If we could not confirm a figure from a vendor page on the day, the cell is left empty and marked “Not verified” with the reason. Vendors show different prices in different countries; where we could only read a non-US price, the cell says so.
Best for, and not ideal for
These lines are drawn from rows in the matrix, such as a context limit or the plan a feature starts on. They are not test results. We have not run quality, speed or accuracy tests for the comparison pages, and they do not rank which assistant writes or codes better.
Older guides
The guides section holds earlier long-form articles. They are being revised to the same sourcing standard. Until a guide carries a checked date, treat figures in it as unverified and use the comparison pages for current prices and limits.
